Description
Specialized Engine Cover. The Edelbrock 7788 Valley Cover for GM Gen III LS-Series engines is engineered to replace the stock valley cover on GM LS1 and LS6 engines when converting from EFI to carbureted systems. By eliminating the unnecessary knock sensor bosses, it provides a cleaner fit for carbureted configurations while maintaining breather functionality for specific setups.
_x000D_Construction and Appearance. This cover is sand cast from aluminum and features a natural finish that combines durability with a professional appearance, ideal for high-performance engine bays.
_x000D_Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill. The included breather boss must be drilled and tapped for those using certain breather configurations such as the stock LS-6 breather or when converting LS-1 setups to LS-6 style. The one-piece design mounts securely using nine mounting points.
_x000D_Warranty. This product includes a 12-month warranty for peace of mind.
_x000D_Application. Specifically designed for 1997-2004 GM LS1 and LS6 engines that have been converted from EFI to carbureted setups, this valley cover does not fit LS2, LS7, LSX, or other GM Gen IV engines.
