      Description

      Complete Distributor Solution. The MSD Chevy Ready to Run Distributor is a turnkey ignition upgrade designed to replace outdated points or bulky HEI distributors. It integrates a powerful ignition module with a maintenance-free magnetic pickup to provide reliable spark, improved idle, easier starting, and higher RPM capability. It is perfect for street performance and compatible with modern EFI systems, streamlining ignition system upgrades.

      Construction and Appearance. Crafted from CNC machined billet aluminum, the distributor features a polished steel shaft coated with QPQ for durability and guided by a sealed ball bearing for smooth rotation. The chrome moly steel advance plate and weights are finely blanked and coated with QPQ to reduce friction, offering strength, precision, and corrosion resistance. The assembly includes a red HEI style cap and rotor.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward with only three wires required to connect. It fits directly onto the engine without requiring modifications or drilling, allowing for a simple upgrade to existing distributors even for enthusiasts with moderate mechanical experience.

      Warranty. This product is backed by a manufacturer’s limited one-year warranty.
