The Hydraulic Clutch Bearing with Remote Master Cylinder, designed for T5 transmissions from 1955-1972, replaces the original bearing retainer with a durable, high-performance hydraulic throwout bearing. It converts hydraulic pressure into mechanical movement to disengage the clutch, simplifying transmission swaps and clutch linkage fabrication. This bearing ensures reliable clutch operation for improved street or strip vehicle performance.
Construction and Appearance. Made from hard anodized billet aluminum, the bearing housing offers exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. It includes high-pressure stainless steel braided lines and premium elbow swivel fittings, providing a professional finish and ease of installation. The finish is precision-machined with a smooth texture that adds both aesthetic appeal and functional strength.
Installation. Installation is straightforward as the bearing bolts directly onto the transmission, eliminating complicated clutch linkage fabrication. No drilling is required, making it suitable for both professional and experienced DIY mechanics.
Application. Designed specifically to fit 55-57 Chevy Bel Air, 55-57 Chevy 150, 55-57 Chevy 210, and 55-57 Chevy Nomad models. Note that this bearing will not work with self-adjusting pressure plates.
