Description
Engine Conversion Bracket Kit. The Chevy Engine Conversion Bracket Kit, LS, is designed to allow installation of LS Series engines into a vehicle originally equipped for Chevy Small Block V8 engines. This kit positions the LS engine in the factory chassis location, providing a reliable mounting solution essential for engine swaps and custom builds.
_x000D_Construction and Appearance. The kit includes frame mount plates, rubber pads, and mounting hardware finished in temporary black shipping paint. The bracket itself is coated with durable black paint and features rubber bushings for effective dampening and vibration control.
_x000D_Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill and may need motor mount shims to properly position the engine. No drilling is typically necessary, but proper alignment and clearance checks are recommended. A passenger car A/C compressor must be used, as truck A/C compressors are not compatible.
_x000D_Application. This kit fits Chevy LS Series 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0L V8 engines installed in factory Small Block Chevy chassis typically from the A-Body GM 1964-67 family. It is not suitable for use with clam-shell mounts found on 1974 and later models, which require a different mount kit.
