Description
Performance Long Tube Header. The Flowtech HDR 63-74 CHEVY/GMC TRK 2/4 WD is engineered to enhance exhaust flow and improve engine performance on compatible inline 6-cylinder engines. It increases horsepower, torque, and fuel economy by efficiently evacuating exhaust gases. This header is intended for racing use-only vehicles requiring a high-performing exhaust manifold.
Construction and Appearance. Made from mild steel with a 0.049-inch wall thickness, this header features mandrel-bent tubing and formed collectors to ensure optimal exhaust flow. It is coated with a high heat-resistant black paint in a satin sheen finish, providing a stealthy, durable appearance resistant to corrosion and heat degradation.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and includes all necessary mounting hardware and gaskets for a secure, leak-free fit. The 5/16-inch thick flanges have sealing rings to prevent exhaust leaks and simplify installation.
Application. Designed specifically for 1963 through 1974 Chevy and GMC 1/2, 3/4, and 1-ton pickups with 2WD or 4WD equipped with 230, 250, or 292 inline 6-cylinder engines. This header is not CARB compliant and intended for off-road or racing use only, making it unsuitable for street-driven vehicles requiring emissions compliance.
