      Performance Exhaust Header. The Flowtech HDR 68-74 GM TRK 2/4WD 396-454 is designed to enhance engine performance and efficiency by improving exhaust gas flow. It replaces the restrictive factory manifolds, allowing for increased horsepower and torque, which is particularly beneficial for GM big block V8 engines in trucks and SUVs from 1968 to 1974. This header is ideal for enthusiasts seeking better throttle response and fuel economy in racing or off-road applications.

      Construction and Appearance. Crafted from .049-inch cold rolled mild steel tubing, these headers are precision engineered with mandrel bends for smooth exhaust flow. The collectors feature a formed design with 3/8-inch thick flanges and sealing rings to prevent leaks. Finished with high heat resistant black paint, the headers provide a sleek satin appearance while resisting corrosion under high temperatures.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward with all necessary mounting hardware and gaskets included, allowing for a bolt-on setup that requires no drilling. This ensures a secure, leak-free fit for compatible vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions.
