Intake Manifold Performance. The Edelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap Intake Manifold is engineered to improve airflow and performance for small-block Ford V8 engines with displacements of 302, 331, and 347 CID. Ideal for hot rodders, street machines, and bracket racers, it provides a cooler, denser air charge through its unique Air-Gap design, optimizing power between 1,500 and 6,500 RPM.
_x000D__x000D_Construction and Appearance. Made from lightweight aluminum, this intake manifold features a satin finish that offers durability and an appealing look. The dual-plane design incorporates an open air space (Air-Gap) beneath the plenum to isolate the intake runners from engine heat, while larger runners than those of standard models allow for improved airflow, especially beneficial for stroker engine builds.
_x000D__x000D_Installation. Installation requires no drilling and should be done with proper gasket selection; Edelbrock gasket 7220 is recommended. Applying RTV sealant to the end seals is necessary for a proper seal. Hardened washers must be used with intake bolts to ensure correct torque and to prevent galling in the aluminum manifold.
_x000D__x000D_Warranty. This intake manifold is backed by a 12-month warranty.
_x000D__x000D_Application. Specifically designed for small-block Ford 302, 331, and 347 CID V8 engines, this manifold is not compatible with 255 CID engines due to design differences and is not recommended for 289 CID engines because of port mismatch considerations.
