      Description

      Classic Update Wiring Harness. The Am.Autowire Classic Update Harness for Falcon/Comet (1960-65) is a comprehensive wiring solution designed to replace and upgrade the original electrical system in classic Ford Falcon and Mercury Comet vehicles from 1960 to 1965. It provides added electrical circuits necessary for modern components such as electronic fuel injection and aftermarket gauges, ensuring reliable and efficient vehicle electrical performance.

      Construction and Appearance. Constructed with modern GXL wire for durability and resistance to heat and abrasion, the harness includes an updated ATC fuse panel, original-replacement connectors, terminals, and lamp sockets. Wire functions are labeled every 3 to 5 inches for easy identification, and the color-coded wiring and pre-built components provide a professional, clean appearance under the hood and dash.

      Installation. Installation is facilitated by a pre-built dash harness and an exclusive gauge cluster disconnect system, minimizing the need for modifications or drilling. Extra-long leads in the engine and rear body wiring harnesses allow for custom routing to suit various engine and transmission setups.

      Application. This harness fits 1960-65 Mercury Comet, 1960-65 Ford Falcon, and 1961-65 Falcon Sedan Delivery models. Note that the tail lamp add-on is required for 1965 Comet applications.
