These are located at the base of the tailgate and the tailgate hinges open on them. They wear down over time which causes your tailgate to become loose or uneven. Made of zinc galvanized steel, they will last a long time. It???s a good idea to paint them if your truck lives outside.
1954-1987 Chevrolet and GMC Stepside Truck tailgate trunnions replace the worn out or missing original tailgate pivots.
