CPP Tubular Control Arms for 1955-57 Chevy Full Size CPP’s Tubular Control Arms are engineered to deliver full wheel travel and minimal friction for enhanced performance. Constructed from robust 1-1/4” x .120” wall D.O.M. tubing for the upper arms and 1-1/2” x .120” wall D.O.M. tubing for the lower arms, these control arms feature thick 1-1/2” x .188” wall pivot barrels to minimize distortion during welding and under heavy use. Designed specifically for power steering vehicles, the upper control arms allow for an added 5 degrees of caster, while the lower arms provide increased ground clearance and compatibility with sway bars. These control arms can be installed with factory upper and lower arms or as a complete set. They incorporate self-lubricating, non-squeak patented plastic bushings, ensuring longevity that surpasses traditional rubber or urethane, even in temperatures exceeding 400 degrees Fahrenheit. The chrome-moly cross shafts and sleeves are zinc-plated for durability, featuring an interlocking design that prevents hardware loosening. The pivots are uniquely designed to handle both forward and backward loads, a significant improvement over the original cross shaft pivot design. Installation is straightforward and requires no modifications.
