      New old stock (NOS) Ecklers Industries refers to NOS parts as original equipment parts offered for sale which was manufactured long ago but that has never been used. Such merchandise maybe permanently out of production and tooling may no longer exist, and the new old stock may represent the only current source of a particular item. Although some circles consider NOS parts as having to be “era” correct or “show correct”, this assumption is not true. NOS parts could be parts that are exact to what was found at time of production, had upgrading in tooling to accommodate other car lines such as extra mounting holes or casting ears, made on worn or rebuilt original tooling or superseded entirely to another design for safety reasons.
