What is AcoustiShield?
AcoustiShield is insulation for your vehicle. QuietRide Solutions makes high quality insulation that is pre-cut and ready to install right out of the box. We offer full, complete kits that cover the body panels, roof, floor, trunk, cowls, and door panels. These kits are available as one complete kit or separate individual kits.

HeatShield
Our AcoustiShield Kits are made out of HeatShield material which consists of a sheet of 99.5% pure industrial grade aluminum laminated to 3/8" fiber tech padding, to achieve the highest reflection of radiant heat and sound deadening. It conforms to Federal Motor Vehicles Safety Standard (FMVSS) 302 flammability on interior materials as specified in the code of regulations, Title F49, transportation Section 571.302. U.S. Coast Guard approved for interior finish. This product passes UL-723 and ASTM-E-84.Our AcoustiShield Kits are made out of HeatShield material. Heat transfers three ways and our HeatShield protects against all of them:
Conductive Heat
The direct flow through a solid object from hot to cold.
Convective Heat
Convected heat flow is mostly upward somewhat sideways. Heat flow is never downward when air is warmed. Warm air expands, becomes less dense and rises.
Radiant Heat
Radiant heat is the flow of invisible infra-red rays emitting from the surface of an object, because of heat within it. All objects give off radiant heat, called radiation.
What does AcoustiShield cover?
A full AcoustiShield kit will cover your entire vehicle from bumper to bumper. We make kits for thousands of cars and trucks. Each kit is cut specifically for each vehicle.
Body Panel Kit
First Layer Body Panel Damper:
Where there are sliding windows within body panels, rust and corrosion can be a major problem. The noise and vibration produced by the movement of these “drum-like” panels can be controlled with water repellant sound deadener.
Second Layer Body Panel Absorber:
Automotive body panels are composed of stamped 18 gauge sheet metal that can act like a “drum” when it comes to noise and vibration transmission. The Body Panel Absorber will silence the vibrations in these panels, where rust and corrosion is not a problem. Apply a layer of heat shield for optimum control of radiated heat and sound absorption.
Roof Kit
Universal Roof Damper/Barrier Kit:
This two-stage combination kit will both dampen the ³ring" in a typical car roof and provide an insulation barrier equal to a thermal rating of 18.3 to make the car cool and quiet inside.
Universal Deluxe Roof Damper/Barrier Acoustic Absorber Kit:
This three-stage combination kit will dampen the "ring" in a typical car roof, and provide an insulation barrier equal to a thermal rating of 18.3. The third layer of acoustic absorber material will significantly reduce reflected noise and bounce created by auto stereo systems.
Recommended for vehicles with cloth headliners only.
Floor Kit
Most automotive floor panels have some depressions stamped into the steel for strength. In addition, the transmission hump and drive line tunnel add to that strength. A typical automotive floor assembly can be divided into six sections: Right Front Floor and Left Front Floor; Right Rear Floor and Left Rear Floor; Front Seat Floor Pan and Rear Seat Floor Pan. A floor damper will ensure that noise and vibration in these panels is reduced to a minimum.
This two-stage combination kit will both dampen the "ring" in a typical car floor pan and provide and insulation barrier equal to a thermal rating of 18.3 to make the car cool and quiet inside.
Trunk Kit
Most automotive trunk floor panels have some depressions stamped into the steel for strength. The trunk floor of older cars is usually flat and can create a great deal of noise and vibration. A trunk floor damper will reduce this noise to a minimum.
This two-stage combination kit will both dampen the "ring" in the floor panels of a typical car trunk and provide an insulation barrier equal to a thermal rating of 18.3 to make the car cool and quiet inside.
Cowl Panel Kit
This two-stage combination kit will both sound dampen and insulate a variety of body panels on a typical car or truck, including:
Front Cowl Panels
Rear Seat Divider/Package Tray
Rear Window Body Panels
Truck Roof Panel
Rear Wheel Wells
Truck Rear Cab Panel
Door Kit
The flat panels of a typical car or truck door are a major source of high-end noise and vibration. Door panels are the only part of the vehicle that are subject to the ravages of corrosion (rust) on the outside as well as the inside. Any acoustic treatment must keep corrosion prevention a priority.
Please Note: Any material that can absorb and hold moisture for a long period of time should not be used in door panels. Such materials include fiberglass, cloth pad, cardboard and layered foam.
