      Description

      The door jamb switch is responsible turning the courtesy dome light on in your 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, or 1974 Nova when the door opens. This is similar to how the refrigerator light always comes on when you open it, but shuts off when you close it. Without the ability of this courtesy light switch, you would be stuck fumbling around in your Nova. When you open your car door, this little switch spring loaded plunger engages contact points closing the circuit and sending an electrical current to your dome light.
