Description
Motor Mount Solution. The Motor Mount Conversion Brackets provide a seamless way to install Chevy LS Series engines (4.8, 5.3, and 6.0L V8) into a small block Chevy chassis at the factory engine location. This kit ensures proper engine mounting and positioning for reliable engine support and drivetrain alignment, essential when swapping engines for improved performance or customization.
Construction and Appearance. The kit includes frame mount plates, rubber pads, and mounting hardware finished with a temporary black shipping paint. The brackets are constructed from durable materials and coated in black paint to resist corrosion during storage and installation. Rubber bushings offer effective dampening and isolate engine vibrations.
Installation. Installing these motor mounts requires moderate mechanical skill. The use of motor mount shims is often necessary to achieve correct engine height and clearance above the crossmember. The mounts position the engine at the stock chassis location, typically requiring no drilling of the chassis.
Application. Specifically designed for Chevy LS Series engines in small block Chevy chassis, these mounts support 2WD configurations and fit 1964-68 Chevy II and 1969-72 Nova models without modification. Passenger car A/C compressors must be used as truck compressors are incompatible with this setup.
