Description
The hood safety latch on your 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, or 1983 Fourth Generation Malibu is what bolts to the bottom of the hood and keeps it closed. If this were to rust or come undone, it is possible that your Malibu's hood could get loose and open while driving, while also creating an annoying rattling sound.
