Description
Oil Pump Support. The BRP LS Oil Pump Pickup Tube Girdle reinforces the oil pickup tube in high-performance LS engines to help prevent oil starvation during high-rpm operation. It securely fastens the inlet screen to the factory teardrop bosses, helping maintain continuous oil flow under acceleration and cornering forces, which is important for protecting engine components during demanding driving conditions.
Construction and Appearance. Constructed from a solid billet of 6061 T6 aluminum, the girdle offers excellent tensile strength and thermal resistance. CNC-machined for precise fitment, it features a durable finish that maintains dimensional stability and clamp pressure through heat cycles, enhancing longevity and reliability.
Installation. Installation is straightforward, requiring no drilling or block modifications. The girdle uses existing LS teardrop boss bolt locations and standard hand tools, allowing for a quick upgrade that can be completed in under an hour.
Application. Designed to fit select GM models including the 64-69 F85, 64-70 Cutlass, 64-70 Oldsmobile 442, and 68-69 Vista Cruiser, this girdle offers a direct upgrade for LS engine swaps in these vehicles without additional modifications.
