Construction and Appearance. This hood is crafted from premium steel, ensuring durability and resistance to warping or flexing unlike fiberglass alternatives. It comes finished with a black electro-coat serving as a rust preventative sealer. The underside is fully finished in a factory style, offering a professional appearance ready for priming and paint application by a qualified technician.

Installation. Engineered as a direct bolt-on replacement for ease of installation, this hood utilizes existing stock hinges and latch assemblies. No drilling or modification is generally required, although 1968 models must use 1969 model hood hinges for proper fitment.

Application. Specifically designed for 1968-1969 Chevrolet Chevelle and El Camino models; however, the 1968 application requires the use of 1969 hood hinges. It is not compatible with 1968 hinges.
