Application Purpose. The Edelbrock 9267 Dual Quad Insulator Kit 2 is engineered to prevent fuel percolation caused by high under-hood temperatures on Performer Series carburetors. It plays a crucial role in maintaining optimal carburetor performance and fuel delivery consistency by isolating heat from the intake manifold. This insulator gasket set is designed for use with dual quad configurations, enhancing reliability in high-temperature environments.

Construction and Appearance. Made from nitrile rubber composite, the gaskets feature a durable square bore design with a thickness of 0.125 inches. The material provides effective thermal insulation and a reliable seal between the carburetor and manifold. The gaskets come as a set of two, each with four mounting holes sized at 0.35 inches in diameter, arranged to fit dual quad setups precisely.

Installation. Installation requires removing the carburetor, air cleaner, and all associated connections such as fuel lines, throttle linkage, and vacuum lines. No drilling is necessary, but replacing the short carb studs with the longer ones included in the kit is required. Proper care must be taken to verify air cleaner-to-hood clearance before installation to prevent interference due to the additional height added by the insulator.
