      Description

      Specialized Engine Component. The Edelbrock 7788 Valley Cover; GM Gen III LS-Series No Knock Sensor Bosses is designed to replace the factory valley cover on 1997-2004 GM LS1 and LS6 engines and similar GM Gen III engines that have been converted from electronic fuel injection (EFI) to carbureted setups. It provides a compatible cover without knock sensor bosses, which are not needed in carbureted configurations, ensuring proper fit and function during engine modifications.

      Construction and Appearance. This valley cover plate is a sand cast aluminum part with a natural aluminum finish. Its durable construction offers strength while the natural finish maintains a clean and practical appearance suitable for performance engine builds.

      Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill. Drilling and tapping the breather boss may be necessary for those retaining the stock LS6 breather or converting an LS1 to LS6 style breather configuration. The installation process is straightforward if proper procedures are followed.

      Warranty. The product is backed by a 12-month warranty for customer assurance.
