      Description

      High-Performance Cover Plate. The Edelbrock 7788 Valley Cover for GM Gen III LS-Series engines without knock sensor bosses is designed to replace the stock valley cover on GM LS1, LS6, and similar Gen III engines converted from electronic fuel injection to carbureted setups. It eliminates the knock sensor bosses which are unnecessary in carbureted configurations, helping streamline the engine and maintain proper sealing within the valley area.

      Construction and Appearance. This cover plate is sand cast from aluminum, ensuring durability and performance strength while maintaining a low weight. It features a natural aluminum finish that provides both functionality and an attractive appearance for engine bays.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward using nine mounting holes that align with factory locations. The breather boss is included for those who retain the stock LS-6 breather or convert LS-1 engines to LS-6 style breathers; it requires drilling and tapping as needed.

      Warranty. This product is backed by a 12-month warranty. Application. Specifically fits 1997-2004 GM LS1/LS6 and compatible Gen III engines; it is not compatible with LS2, LS7, LSX, or any GM Gen IV engines.
