      Description

      Performance Intake Upgrade. The Edelbrock Rectangular Port RPM Air-Gap Manifold for Big Block Chevrolet V8 engines is engineered to boost power and throttle response on high-performance engines ranging from 396 to 502 cubic inches. Its air-gap design isolates intake runners from engine heat, resulting in a cooler, denser air/fuel mixture that enhances combustion efficiency and maximizes horsepower throughout the rpm range up to 6500.

      Construction and Appearance. Crafted from lightweight aluminum, this intake manifold is cast and machined in the USA to stringent quality standards. It features a natural satin aluminum finish that offers a classic and high-performance aesthetic, suitable for both street and competition applications.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward with no modifications or drilling required. Use RTV silicone sealant for end seals rather than end seal gaskets to ensure proper fit and optimal sealing. Hardened washers must be used with intake bolts to achieve correct torque and to prevent aluminum galling.

      Warranty. This product includes a 12-month warranty for quality assurance and customer confidence. Application. Designed to fit 1964-73 El Camino and 1971-72 Sprint models. Note that it will not fit under the stock hoods of Corvette (1964-67), Chevelle (1964-67), or Camaro (1967-81).
