      The Slidebar radio when it was introduced in the Full Size Impala, Biscayne and Bel Air was a neat trick with its "roll over" dial. Due to sporadic radio coverage it was necessary to constantly search for stations and the roll over dial allowed you to keep turning the knob one way rather than look down, figure out what station you were on and go back up the dial.
