Chevelle Electronic Distributor Conversion Kit, V8, High Performance, Ignitor II, PerTronix, 1964-1972

Only PerTronix themselves could improve on their original Ignitor electronic ignition. This Ignitor II kit has many of the same great features, but it's "smarter." Upgraded electronics allow it to sense the coil current level and use a powerful micro controller to adjust the dwell accordingly. Ignitor II also develops up to 4x more energy between 3,000 and 5,000 rpm than standard ignition systems. This conversion works with any ignition coil, but we recommend the chrome case PerTronix Flame-Thrower coil, P/N EP-724 for 40,000 volts of power and a dressed-up look. Note: Once the ignition switch is turned on, it takes four seconds to charge the electronic pick-up before starting the engine.
