Performance 11" Clutch & Pressure Plate Upgrade Engineered For Higher Horsepower Engines Light Pedal Effort With 90% More Holding Capacity Over Stock Precision Smooth Engagement With Low Noise Patented Centrifugal Weight Design & Ball Bearing Pressure Plate High Quality Friction Material Includes Clutch Disc, Pressure plate, & Installation Instructions 90-Day Limited Manufacturer's Warranty Made In The USA Is it time to replace that old clutch in your modified Chevelle . Factory clutches can't handle the power of modified engines and won't last very long. Traditional aftermarket heavy duty clutches can handle the power. However, the increased pedal pressure required would wear out an Olympic weight lifter. The solution is this Centerforce Dual Friction clutch from Eckler's. The Centerforce II Clutch Series utilizes a pressure plate with patented centrifugal weights and has been through constant testing of different friction materials to bring the optimal combination available. Furthermore, static clamp load is increased via patented machining processes; this combination allows superb holding power and maximum clutch life, making this unit great for your modified Chevelle . Trust Eckler's for all your 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, or 1978, 1979, 1980, or 1981 Chevelle performance, accessory, and restoration needs.NOTE: Fits Disc With Input Shaft Of 1-1/8" x 26 Splines: 1970-74 454ci, 1973-77 350ci, 1978 With L82, 1979-81 AllTechnology: Centerforce currently holds 9 exclusive patents pertaining to automotive performance clutches. Centerforce uses patented processes and has over 25 years of experience to create the best clutch & flywheel package for your application. Some of these processes include the famous Centerforce weight system, Dual-Friction discs, and ball bearing actuated pressure plates, precision billet flywheels and more. Each application is developed to provide you with the right amount of clamp load, friction, durability and ease of use.Ball Bearings: Centerforce provides innovative leadership in clutch technology by creating patented processes like their ball bearing pressure plate designs. When possible, Centerforce uses ball bearings as a fulcrum (pivot) point for the pressure plate diaphragm spring. By utilizing this unique system, Centerforce can increase clutch holding-capacity and keep the pedal effort low. This also allows Centerforce to increase the quality and repeatability of each clutch developed with this process.Centerforce Weights: Additional clutch torque capacity by harnessing centrifugal force as engine RPM increases. Using centrifugal force and leverage on the clutch diaphragm the Centerforce weight system actually increases clamp-load with engine speed and power.Dual Friction Advantages: The Centerforce Dual-Friction disc system distributes pressure plate clamping force evenly over a 360-degree friction-facing on one side of the clutch disc, while the opposing side uses a segmented friction-facing to maximize clamping pressure and increase clutch holding-capacity. This combination of dual configured friction-facings, coupled with our performance pressure plate, creates the ultimate clutch system that is engineered to shift smooth and extend clutch life, while providing best in class Centerforce grip.Testing For Quality: For more than 25 years Centerforce has been a leader in clutch innovation and quality. To ensure the highest level of quality, every clutch design that Centerforce offers is run through a gauntlet of testing procedures. We continually monitor and evaluate clutch-holding capacity by utilizing specific friction materials and accurate Pressure Plate clamp-load measurements. Clutch breakaway torque readings are further verified through our specially built clutch testing equipment. It is important to note that these values are not just mathematical calculations on paper – our numbers are backed-up by actual “real world” use and testing. Centerforce uses the latest in CAD/CAM technology for all of our in-house product designs. This coupled with precise measurement and strict manufacturing control means you get parts right – the first time. In addition to these procedures, Centerforce also regularly test components and materials through independent test labs to further ensure we not only meet, but also exceed industry standards. Centerforce is serious about quality. We take the extra steps so you can expect long life, ease of use, precise operation and maximum power transfer from your Centerforce clutch.Flywheel Note: Our friction materials are designed to be used with the stock flywheel, aftermarket steel billet flywheels, or aluminum flywheels with steel insert heat shields. If you are replacing your stock O.E.M. Flywheel, be sure that the new flywheel meets the same specifications, such as ring gear tooth count, flywheel thickness, ring gear offset, etc. All billet Centerforce flywheels are designed to meet standard O.E.M. Specifications, and are S.F.I. Approved.
