      This tool greatly assists in compressing the spring ( #A7227 ) when installing the gear shift lever. It allows the safest way to remove the retaining clip to complete this task!

      The tool consists of a heavy support plate, threaded center rod with forked end, and threaded rods with jam nuts for tightening.

      It is an improved and safer to use version over the previous design.

      Instructions are included.
