      Description

From 1964-1977 GM A Bodies were equipped in one of 4 ways regarding front sway bars. They were delivered without one, with an 11/16", 7/8" or with a hi-performance F41 1" bar. For cars equipped without a bar the Hellwig bar will make a night and day difference in improved cornering. For cars with the standard 7/8" bar you'll be getting a 50% bigger bar with a whopping 500% increase in roll stiffness which translates into seat of the pants performance you can really feel. Unfortunately A-body cars, like Chevelles and El Caminos, with factory equipped sway bars have a terrible tendency to roll heavily in corners which places most of the cornering load on the outside of the tire. This results in a loss of cornering force and unnecessary tire wear. Regardless of what bar your car
