Comes with a five year manufactures warranty.   The Speed Sensor senses how fast the speedometer magnet shaft is turning, with relation to possible pollution control/monitor. This was a failed attempt for improved emissions that was eventually discontinued. The sensor appears as a connector behind the dash and plugs into an opening in the back of the speedometer. Deleting the speed sensor will not effect the operation of your vehicle or the gauge itself.
