A Corvette SSI BBK intake manifold is a great performance upgrade for your 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, or 2004 Corvette. The intake manifold bolts to the top of the engine via a series of long, threaded bolts. As the structural base for your Corvette's fuel-induction system, the intake manifold has a series of long, hollow ports within their core that are responsible for funneling incoming air and fuel into the cylinders, allowing combustion to occur. This new BBK SSI series intake manifold delivers unmatched performance and value when compared to other aftermarket units. The BBK engineers were able to come up with a unit that delivers 12-15 additional rear wheel horsepower on the already hot Z06 and 18-24 horsepower on the base LS-1 equipped GM models. Such highlights include a standard 85mm straight through design throttle inlet and low restrictive rounded runners for maximum horsepower as well as improved low end torque for street or strip performance.
